This picnic hamper is the result of a four month study in London, England. The study was based on eating habits and food culture. The end product is a picnic hamper that brings the tradition and ritual of the picnic from the countryside to the parks within London. The styling of the outside of the hamper allows it to fit into a city setting while the elegant interior begs to be seen within the many parks located in London. The shoulder strap makes carrying the picnic hamper easy while simultaneously allowing it to resemble a side bag. The material choice (leather) along with the detailing and craftsmanship of this product makes it a luxury good and a must have for Londoners who enjoy picnics. Images created by Austin Gardner.
